We do not share, sell, transfer, or disclose Google user data to third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

  • AI Processing: Assignment and submission content may be sent to an AI model (e.g., Claude by Anthropic) solely to generate grading feedback. This transfer is necessary to provide the service and is governed by Anthropic's privacy and data handling policies.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

Google user data is never transferred to third parties for advertising, marketing, or any purpose other than delivering or improving the application's functionality.

Protection of Google User Data

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect Google user data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only, and secure handling practices for all sensitive data obtained via Google APIs. We request only the minimum OAuth scopes necessary to deliver the service.

We do not permanently store the content of student submissions or Google Drive files beyond the active session required to complete grading. Account-level data (such as course and roster information cached for performance) is retained only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.
